This terrific site not only will reserve the rooms for you - often at a discounted rate - but also verifies the pet policies with the hotels directly.

Their system couldn't be easier to use. From the time you log on, you'll see a clear and easy-to-use reservation system. Once you've looked up your destination, you'll get a list of the hotels which want you and your best friend.

Sort the list as you prefer and then click on any of the links. You'll get a complete review, photos, map, directions and rates along with all the descriptions and amenities you can want to know about. What's really important, is they'll show you - very clearly - whether or not the pet policy has been checked recently by them and, if so, it will define clearly what the policy is.

Many hotels which allow pets put a restriction on the size of your buddy. Some only allow dogs and some only cats. In some hotels there is a fee involved anywhere from around $25.00 to over $200.00 for the 5 stars. So be sure to check this before you book your reservation. One thing is sure, every hotel is different as to how much space they'll give the darlings once there so make sure you really are clear on what to expect.

This pet-friendly hotel reservation service really is useful to animal lovers as many of the hotels don't put their pet policies on their web sites. The great thing to know is that there are some wonderful hotels which are clearly owned by animal lovers and will welcome you with open arms. So the next time you're ready to go on the road with Fido, be sure to check them out.

Pet Friendly Holidays- What You Should Know

We love our pets, don't we? We love to spend time with them, all pet owners do; well the responsible ones do, we are pet friendly. So it makes sense that we should want to spend time with them on our holiday.

That all makes sense doesn't it? Plus, when we have a pet friendly rental we don't have to worry about how someone else is looking after our much loved pet, have we done the right thing, are they happy without us, are they too happy without us, will they have the strop when we get back, will they be OK when we get back. Also we don't have to spend a fortune for them to be looked after, or worry about who is looking after them.

It can really be a great pet holiday when you take your pets away and they don't have to be just dog holiday or cat holiday or even a cats holiday, I know a couple who take their budget away. In fact you can take nearly any pet away, just make sure you ask pet friendly rental company if it's OK, where your going.

It may sound obvious, but you need to make sure you can look after your pet while you are away. You know you have to look after them at home, so it should be obvious that you must look after them while you are away. However it is easy to forget the things you might need while you are away, especially when you are used to having everything you need close to hand at home.

So have a good think before you go, what do you need on your pet holiday, you can always buy anything you have forgotten, but who needs that extra expense? Most pet friendly rentals will insist that you have something for your pet to sleep on or in, in the case of dogs a blanket or basket. It is good to take food and water bowls, especially if your pet is used to them.

There will be a pet holiday cottage contract, this is not unusual, you must respect the desire of the holiday owner to look after their property, after all you wouldn't want to arrive at a dirty pet friendly home, damaged by previous pet friendly holiday families, even if they haven't got pets.

Remember, we are all ambassadors for pet holiday owners, the more we can assure pet friendly rental property owners that we want to look after their properties whilst we are on holiday, the more places will be made available for us to go on cat holiday, dog holiday or any pet holiday.

It will be a condition for most quality pet holiday cottages that your pet must be up to date with the normal vaccinations, worming etc. You know this makes sense, especially as it makes sure that your pet is protected. Remember any company that doesn't insist on this is putting your pet at risk.

Look after your pet friendly rental home, make sure that your pet doesn't cause any damage. You will certainly be charged for any damage you pet causes, increasing your pet friendly holiday costs, but more importantly, we don't want to put holiday owners off providing pet friendly holidays, or there will become less available for us to us.

If your pet requires particular conditions for it to enjoy itself, make sure they will be available. If your on a dog friendly holiday, make sure you can dry it or them off if the weather is bad without wrecking your pet friendly holiday home.

If you have large dogs perhaps there is a conservatory or large kitchen area where your pets can be dried off and sleep or perhaps an individual grassed area where they can please themselves.

If your on a cat holiday or even cats holiday, make sure there is window sill or something similar, so they can watch the world go by.

There can sometimes be large tiled areas, these can be great to keep you pet freindly rental clean should the weather take a turn for the worse, don't forget it's your holiday too, you don't want to be cleaning all the time.

Pets are not usually allowed in bedrooms or upstairs. If there are restrictions on where your pets are allowed make sure you observe the rules. If you think your pet might be exempt from some or all the rules, ask the pet friendly rental company, it may be that your right. It never hurts to ask, it is better to find out first, rather than finding problems whilst you are at your pet holiday cottages.

Remember, If you find a place where your pets are welcome on holiday, you can have a great holiday and so can they, so look after it. Your will appreciate it and so will those providing your pet friendly rental holiday, you will want to go back, your pet will want to go back and the holiday owners will love to see you come back. Everyone's a winner.

Your advantages
You don't have to leave a well loved member of your family at home, with friends or with commercial carers.
Your pets love to be with you whether at home or on holiday.
You love to be with them whether at home or on holiday.
Save the cost of commercial pet care, whether it be catteries or kennels.

What you will have to do
Your pets will be parasite free.
That you will take all reasonable care of the property and its contents and leave them in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of the rental.
Domestic pets will not enter the first floor of any property or any bedroom of any property.
Pet baskets and blankets are used.

Best Golf Hotels in Canada and Australia

Prince Edward Island

Thousands of people visit the northern United States and Canada during the spectacular "fall" season, when the leaves change to dramatic colours. Golds, reds, yellows and oranges all mix to form the most amazing backdrop, and golf courses, with their myriad trees, are a great place to be in early October. Be sure to visit Prince Edward Island, Canada's top golf destination with almost half a million visitors a year.

Mill River Resort: In the far west of the island, about a 90-minute drive from Charlottetown, is one of the area's best golf hotels, with excellent leisure facilities and a very good course. Tree-lined for most of its length with fairways that gently curve, this is another fine test of your skill and patience. The secret lies in hitting long, straight tee-shots.

Alberta

Alberta is another prime destination for Canadian golf courses. Around Calgary there are about a dozen or so golf hotels now as that city, riding the economic success of beef and oil, expands at an alarming rate.

Kananaskis : A beautiful Delta golf hotel and lodge, with superb dining facilities and a very fun bar. It also has two of the best golf courses in Canada, both designed by the late Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Rockies are full of fast-running streams flowing off the mountains, so water comes into play on many holes of this 36-hole layout. The two courses are named after the mountains at either end of the valley in which Kananaskis basks, Mount Kidd and Mount Lorette. Both are superb. It's little wonder that this facility has been named as North America's best 36-hole layout.

Margaret River

Nothing beats the solitude, quiet and lush greenery of a country golf course. Most days, on the public courses in the Margaret River wine region in the southwest of Western Australia, you can stroll down to the first tee and play on your own. Out here, even the kangaroos move languidly, in no hurry, and a kookaburra's laugh sounds like a slow playing record.

Jake Paterson drops into a monster wave near Margaret River in Western Australia — an entrant in the competition for the largest wave ridden.

Dunsborough Lakes: The Lakes is a championship course well within the reach of the weekend warrior. For an affordable price, little is lost for quality, and amazingly, the course is walking distance from the town centre. Members, who live in the many houses of this sub-division, their backyards jutting onto fairways, tees and greens, often start on the hole nearest to their back gate. If they're barbecuing, they'll raise a hand in greeting as you stroll past and will wish you an enjoyable round. It all adds up to a feeling of playing in someone's backyard. The clubhouse is a popular tavern with a large patio, and even those who haven't been on the links congregate here. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal - a rare thing on such a high quality course.

Hotels at Disney World - Tips For Making Disney World

There are 32 resorts and hotels at Disney World, which are classified into Deluxe, Deluxe Villa, Moderate, Value, and Campground. If you choose to stay in any one of these hotels, you can avail of advantages that those staying in off-premises hotels cannot access such as a total Disney experience, free transportation and special treatment from the Disney staff, Disney Television, and the Extra Magic Hours. And did we mention that you will have a free ride from the airport to the resort with your bags hand-delivered to your room?

Of course, you will want to save on accommodation costs without sacrificing your convenience and comfort while staying in the world's largest resort. Just follow these tips on finding any of the hotels at Disney World and you can save more money to buy more souvenirs, get on more rides and enjoy many more activities.

Know Your Budget

First off, you have to determine your allowable limits for the hotels near Walt Disney World. This way, you can quickly narrow down your choices of hotels and campgrounds with the special discounts and Disney hotel packages in mind. If you are pressed for money and yet still desire to stay within the park, then the rustic-themed 784 campsites and 409 cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are your best bets. If you have more money to spare, then the value-priced resorts of Pop Century, All-Star Movies, All-Star Music and All-Star Sports will provide more comfortable accommodations at a slightly higher price.

If you desire still higher quality accommodations with hotels at Disney World, then opt for the moderately-priced resorts of the Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and the Port Orleans Resort Riverside. All these accommodation options are perfect for groups and families who may be unable to enjoy the deluxe and deluxe villas available elsewhere at Disney World.

Also, keep in mind that the time of the year you decide to visit has a significant bearing on the prices you pay for hotel accommodations. For more affordable prices, visit during the so-called Value Season during the months of January to February and August to October or the small window of November 30 to December 18. The crowds are lesser and the lines are shorter, too, during these times.

Know Your Group

Even when you have settled on the type of accommodations based on budget, you still have to consider the needs and preferences of the group or person you are with. This way, you can protect your money while ensuring that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney World exactly how you envisioned it. For example, if you decided on the value resorts, you must first decide what kind of activities you want to engage in while at Disney World. All the hotels at Disney World cater to specific needs - Pop Century showcases American pop culture, All-Movies caters to Disney movie fanatics, All-Star Music is for devotees of all types of classic music, Caribbean Beach feels like a tropical paradise and so on.

With the right kind of planning, you can find accommodations that will suit your budget, your time, your group and your intended itinerary during your stay at Disney World.

Macau Luxury Hotels

Up until just a decade ago, Macau was hardly anything but a day long escape for those travelers who wanted to spice up their Hong Kong holiday by visiting the famous floating casino, where a scene of James bond's "The Man with the Golden Gun" was shot, or to watch promiscuous cabaret shows at Hotel Lisboa...

But things are very different nowadays: Improved public security, alongside economic reforms and liberalization of the casino industry have attracted international investors to the former Portuguese colony, and today Macau luxury hotels are in one line with the world's best accommodations.

This article will introduce you to the finest of Macau luxury hotels:

• Hotel Lisboa Macau

Even if the legendary Lisboa may no longer be at the top of Macau's luxury hotels list, it has certainly become one of the city's most famous establishments...

Alongside its very central location, this classy hotel vaunts elegant decor that brings back the romance and magic of bygone colonial days, with heavy chandeliers, filigree handrails and opulent oriental art.

As you may well expect from a Macau luxury hotel, guestrooms are quite large and fairly detailed in terms of design, with nostalgic Chinese furniture and mosaic floor in the bathroom.

As far as facilities go, there is a nice swimming pool, gym, sauna, international class restaurants and, of course, the brilliant cabaret shows and the famous Casino Lisboa for which the hotel is known worldwide...

• Pousada de Sao Tiago

Built within the ramparts of Barra Fort: A 17th century Portuguese stronghold at the southern tip of the Macau Pninsula, Pousada de Sao Tiago is definitely the most characterful of Macau luxury hotels.

All the 24 rooms at this charming boutique hotel are full of ambience and come with antique furniture and balconies overlooking the bay...

The "Pousada" also has a small swimming pool, as well as a pleasant terrace-cafe where you can have your coffee alfresco, and an exceptionally fine restaurant... But most importantly, it has a dedicated team of friendly staff who really make sure their guests feel at home...

If historic boutique hotels are your thing, than staying here is something you should consider... The "Pousada" is not within a convenient walking distance to town, but it's only a short taxi ride, sp no worries about that...

• MGM Grand Macau

The first thing you'll probably notice about this Macau luxury hotel is its extravagant architecture, featuring an uber-modern design that gives a very Sci-fi look to the hotel's building.

Fantastic location on the edge of the city centre, just a short walk from most of Macau's sightseeing sites, casinos and restaurants, is only one of the reasons why this relatively new hotel has become so popular. The second reason, which is even more important, is what the MGM Grand has to offer in terms of comfort and luxury: From large rooms with beautiful views and modern-elegant decor, to a whole range of fabulous amenities, including the very "chic" swimming pool from which you can enjoy great views over Taipa Island.

When it comes to dining, entertainment and nightlife, the Grande Praca is the place where everything happens ... Designed like a Colonial-Portuguese piazza, this sunlit atrium boasts quite a few fantastic restaurants and shops, which means it is possible for you to have a very nice evening out, without actually leaving the hotel...

As you might expect from a luxury hotel in Macau, the MGM Grand also runs its own ritzy casino...

• Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16

The prestigious Sofitel at Ponte 16 is one of the latest newcomers to Macau luxury hotel scene.

Located in a surprising (but very nice) part of town, facing the Inner Harbour waterfront (Porto Interior), the hotel is slightly away from the cluster of luxury hotels around the "casino belt" but within a short walking distance to Almeida Ribeiro, Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square and other places of interest within the old part of town...

One of the best things about this luxury hotel is the spacious rooms, that provide gorgeous views of either the Inner Harbour and the town of Zhuhai (in China) or the narrow alleyways of Macau's old town, and are equipped with a whole range of facilities (including a nice set of L'occitane bathing products in every bathroom).

Secondly, the Sofitel is a part of a stylish modern Casino and Entertainment Complex, which means there is a decent range of dining and entertainment options within an elevator ride... Hotel amenities are also fantastic and include a very nice swimming pool with a sundeck facing the Inner Harbour and Zhuhai, as well as a spa, wellness center, well equipped gym and the likes...

Thirdly, and most important of all: The rates at the Sofitel are still quite reasonable when compared to some other Macau luxury hotels of the same caliber...

• Venetian Macau

Some people dislike the Venetian, others adore it - But nobody can ignore it!

Writing an article about Macau luxury hotels without mentioning the Venetian is simply impossible... Occupying one of the biggest hotel buildings on earth, this colossal casino-resort offers more luxury and amenities than many of Macau's leading hotels, alongside a wide choice of dining and entertainment options.

To begin with, the rooms at the Venetian are just incredible, both in terms of size and facilities, and otherwise there are some outstandingly good hotel amenities, as well as an unbelievable selection of restaurants, bars, nightspots and shops at the Venice-style "Grand Canal shoppes"... Not to mention the world's largest casino, which is just an elevator ride away...

Critics, on the other side, argue that what this hotel makes up in amenities, it lacks in character and personal touch... Moreover, quite a few travelers claim that staying in the newly developed area of Cotai (where the Venetian is) is not what they came to Macau for, and that they prefer to book a hotel in town, where they can be within walking distance of Macau's places of interest...

It's impossible to determine who is right or wrong... It depends, first and foremost on who you are and what is your idea of a holiday in Macau... But one thing for sure: If you plan to spend more than just a couple of nights in Macau, staying one night at the Venetian is certainly something you should consider... If not for anything else, than for the ultimate splurge.

An Egyptian Hotel Full of Eccentricities

The three-star Windsor Hotel, conveniently located in down-town Cairo, is a unique institution, retaining vestiges of its various incarnations over the last 120 years. Although its rather faded grandeur and no frills rooms may not be to everyone's taste, it has charm, character and the personal touch that comes with a family-owned hotel.

But what makes the Windsor unique?

Walking through its doors is like stepping back in time, and one can almost sense the ghosts of those who frequented its rooms. At the turn of the 20th century the building housed the Turkish Baths of the Egyptian royal family. Then in the 1920s, the colonial British army used it as an Officers' Club until it became an annex to the celebrated and opulent Shepheards Hotel, headquarters of the British in the Near East. On January 26 1952, and as a prelude to the July Revolution that forced the British occupiers and Egyptian royal family out of the country, a rioting Cairo mob set fire to foreign businesses and interests. Although Shepheards Hotel was burnt to the ground, the Windsor escaped with minimal damage. After the Revolution, a Coptic family bought the Windsor and turned it into a hotel that became an important centre of cosmopolitan Cairo in the 1950s and 60s.

The Windsor has the ambience of an Agatha Christie-style mystery novel and the film set features of the 1942 movie 'Casablanca'. In fact it has featured in various local and overseas films such as 'The English Patient'. Michael Palin chose to stay there in 1991 while filming his BBC documentary 'Around the World in Eighty Days' during which he attempted to replicate the exploits of Phileas Fogg, a character in Jules Verne's classic novel. The hotel, with its high ceilings, has retained much of its quaint antique furniture and on the wall of the 1st floor dining room/restaurant is a fire-damaged painting, a reminder of Black Saturday in January 1952. It has a telephone switchboard left over from its days as an officers' club and its antiquated cage lift, supposedly the oldest in Egypt, is operated by hand. Above all, it is the eclectic bar that epitomizes the old-world charm of the Windsor.

As its name implies, the bar's tables, chairs and stools are made from barrels. Together with its rugs, large lounges, colonial partitions, evidence of a big-game hunting era on its walls, chandeliers, framed newspaper cuttings, stacked bookshelves and a broken guitar in one corner, it is one of the most atmospheric places in Cairo to go for a beer. It is also one of the friendliest with a mix of guests, tourists and intellectual Egyptians served by approachable and attentive staff.

Although the Windsor could do with some tender loving care, unlike many of the deluxe hotels, it provides what many travellers are looking for: something different.

Philippine Golf Courses So Great?

Are you tired of playing in the same old golf courses time and again? Are you looking for a brand new golfing experience like you never had before? If so, then you should try golfing in the Philippines. A friend of mine went to the tropical country for vacation a few months back. He tried playing in one of the courses there and was surprised at how beautiful it was.

Bulacan Philippines: The Royal Northwoods Golf and Residential Estates

The landscaping was at par with some of the better ones in the USA. He was even treated to a beautiful view of a large lake with a volcano in the middle as he progressed through his game. He was playing golf in the mountains for the first time in his life and he felt just terrific. The cool breeze really helped him relax and concentrate on his game.

And he did need to concentrate because the mountain course was fairly challenging as well. Precise shots were needed, so that his balls didn't end up falling down the mountainside. The breeze also played a huge factor in how he chose to shoot the golf ball. He had such a wonderful and exciting experience playing there.

But the Philippines has more than just good mountain courses. Being an archipelago, the country has lots of courses by the beach as well. You can bring your family along with you during your trip here. They can have fun swimming in some of the best beaches in Asia while you play rounds of golf by the seaside.

If you are in the country for a business meeting, there are also many courses located within the city and nearby commercial and business districts. No matter where you are in the Philippines there will be excellent golf courses where you can play. It's no wonder that golfing greats such as Tiger Woods and Annika Sorenstam have visited the country in order to play golf.

Are you ready for the greatest golfing experience of your life? Then come and visit the Philippines now.

Best Places to Retire For Affordable Golf Course

Today, more and more avid golfers who are approaching their retirement years are growing increasingly concerned that the current economic crisis in this country might perhaps force them to abandon the idea of finding a place to retire on or near a golf course. True, for many golfers, their shrinking 401 investment portfolio and uncertain financial status might necessitate that they forgo the luxury of an expensive luxury home on the fairways of a prestigious private country club.

However, with careful planning, a willingness to downsize that dream retirement home and the investment of some time and effort in pursuit of an affordable place to golf, it is still possible to find a very well-priced and inviting home in a golfing environment that most retirees would consider as fitting their requirement for the best place to retire.

In fact, in nearly every area of the U.S., there are a number of communities with a ready supply of affordable retirement housing with challenging golf courses, both private and daily fee public facilities. Furthermore, with most new master planned golf communities, developers are drastically reducing prices in an effort to boost falling sales, and higher-priced golf properties are more reasonably priced than any time in recent memory.

Even with these circumstances, retirees who want to live where they can spend their leisure time on the links would be well served to explore certain towns and cities where golf is a major focus and therefore where housing inventories and prices are more attractive. Here are a few suggestions where, not only are prices for retirement housing extremely reasonable, but also there is an abundance of good, quality golf courses which can be enjoyed at very moderate rates.

It may be surprising to some to discover that the most affordable retirement destinations are often located in or near what are also some of the most popular and best known golfing communities. Among such places is Pinehurst, North Carolina, long considered to be one of America's great golf resorts and home to a number of residential golf course developments, including the prestigious Pinehurst Club. In spite of the fact that most homes along the fairways can be pretty pricey, there are also a large number of resale homes and condos available at any given time for less than $200,000. In addition, several of the communities in and around Pinehurst and the neighboring small towns of Southern Pines and Aberdeen still have affordable building sites and resale homes.

Golf is also a major attraction in the mountains of western North Carolina, but here the price for homes and home sites located within a golf complex are among some of the highest in the country. However, if one looks a little closer at small towns like Brevard, Boone or Waynesville, or others around the Asheville area, single family homes are reasonably priced and yet not far removed from good golfing.

Most golfers are familiar with the golf courses that abound in and around the area of Hilton Head Island in coastal South Carolina, and while the home prices on the Island itself may be above the reach of the average retiree, there are a growing number of retirement communities in neighboring towns such as Bluffton with affordable homes, some of which feature golf courses as part of their amenities. South Carolina's best known golfing destination, Myrtle Beach and the Grand Stand, a sixty-mile strip filled with oceanfront hotels and golf courses extending into Brunswick County, North Carolina, still attract an increasing number of retirees who have found the area meets their requirements for their best place to retire.

Georgia and Tennessee, two other Southeastern states with moderate climates that permit golfing almost ten months out of the year, are both home to small towns noted as being highly desirable retirement destinations for golfers. Several designer courses, bearing the names of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, have been carved out of the Georgia rural landscape along Lake Oconee. Initially, these developments were executive-style luxury communities, but a recent trend has been the arrival of new retirement properties, spearheaded by a Del Webb complex with a varied selection of affordable home designs near the picturesque small town of Greensboro.

And perched atop Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau, Crossville, which bills itself as the "Golf Capital of Tennessee," has been a major destination for retirees for the last thirty years. Lured by the presence of a number of affordable residential golf communities, the absence of a state income tax, a low cost of living and a thriving small town economy, retirees have made Crossville a major retirement and golfing destination.

Levadas of Madeira

The enchanting Portuguese archipelago of Madeira is a tiny verdant gem suspended in a sea of brilliant blue. Walking holidays in Madeira can take you from lush walks through sub-tropical vegetation to open ridges approaching 2000m with views seemingly to the ends of the earth. The island lies only about 350 miles off the coast of Africa but has a distinctly European feel, with a laid-back tone and an appealingly mild climate. There are miles of rugged coastline and mountain trails to explore while walking in Madeira, and a warm and welcoming community of locals will greet you like an old friend.

The Levadas

Madeira is famed for its wonderful fortified wine and Madeira cake. But the island is also known for its unique 'levadas'; an intriguing network of narrow man-made canals that weave their way from the highlands and the wetter north coast, down a web of pathways to the low lying regions of the island. Named after the Portuguese word 'levar' - to carry - they were built around the sixteenth century by the first settlers, who realised that in order to sustain their crops, they needed to devise a method of bringing the abundant water supply of the high mountains down to their farms below. Walking in Madeira alongside the path of these ancient canals is an incredible insight into how difficult a task it must have been.

The levadas wend their way through solid basalt cliffs, along sheer rock walls and through lush, dense forests. Many workers lost their lives in their creation and in some of the more inaccessible areas it is easy to see why. In some sections which were literally hewn by hand out of the mountain, workers had to be lowered down in wicker baskets. Originally used for maintenance, today the walking paths that run parallel to more than 1,000kms of the waterways are popular trails for walking. In Madeira there are over 200 separate levadas, and whether for both experienced or novice walkers, there is a level for everyone to enjoy.

As you make your way along the levadas you follow a magical journey through the interior of Madeira. The banks of the canals are studded with a profusion of wild flowers and mosses and you can see an astounding array of vegetation - thanks in the main part to the canals themselves. The island is home to Europe's oldest and largest Laurel forest and some of the rare species of plant life are found in this region almost exclusively.

Madeira Walks - Levada do ReiQueimadas Levada Walk

The levadas will lead you through dark, damp tunnels which emerge into charming fairy glens of forest; past towering waterfalls which spill into crystal clear ponds; and out onto rugged mountain paths overlooking spectacular ocean vistas. Walking in Madeira along the pathway of levadas will reveal the raw, unspoilt natural beauty of this island wonderland and unlock the secrets of its past.

The Mountain Paths

Away from the coast and the lush world of the levadas, walking in Madeira will take you high into the mountains. The island is volcanic in origin, and the worn and weathered remains of huge calderas are everywhere. The walk between the two highest peaks of Pico Ruivo and Pico Arieiro is one of the greatest walks on earth, and not particularly challenging. Try to do it on a day when the peaks are above the clouds and you will think you are not walking in Madeira, but walking in heaven.

Hawaii - Some Useful Information

I lived in Hawaii for a year and a half after being inspired with a dream that I had one night. I dreamed of a beautiful blue ocean, a calm breeze, and palm trees. The very next day, I started doing research on places to live close to a beach. My research showed me that Hawaii was the best place for me at least for the short-term.

What I first did was go online to places like Career builder and Monster to find out what types of jobs were available in Hawaii. I found plenty of jobs that were available in the travel and customer service industry. After turning in my resume and applying for these jobs, I had several interviews over the phone. Although some of the employers were hesitant that I was not in Hawaii, I ended up accepting a position in customer service.

Then, I had to find out where I was going to live. The best resource that I found was Craigslist. I found shared housing in places that were close to my future workplace with public transportation. I was hesitant to send a deposit online to one of the homeowners who insisted on payment before I arrived to the island. What I decided to do was actually make a reservation at the YMCA, and I stayed in the dorm rooms for a week until I was able to find a home to live in. It was a really interesting experience living in Hawaii, and I hope that you will enjoy your stay as well!

Cruise Ship Reviews

Besides, the obvious fact that every one of us need to take a break now and again. Going on a cruise gives you the ability to totally detach yourself from the world and actually relax. However, as with everything else, there are pros and cons of cruising that need to be considered. So before you hop on the next boat to the Caribbean, consider the following first...

The good part?

People swear by cruise ships and the pleasurable experience that you can have when you board one. More and more cruise liners are coming up with innovative ideas to have you hop on board such as coming up with themed ships or ships that are targeted towards your interests. That could be a life changer.

Want to improve your golf swing.? How about your putting skills? All while keeping the kids happy and preoccupied in their theme park-like fantasy arcade? Maybe take a yoga class while your kids take a crash course in self-defense martial arts like Krav Maga? You can do all these and more on a cruise. That might be a life changer.

It's been a mantra ever since cruise ships came into existence that you should feel like you are in heaven when you board. This is one of the things that makes going on a cruise so wonderful. It sounds like a life changer. The not so good?

Of course, every coin has another side and cruising has its own downside as well. Fortunately the only really bad thing that most people encounter on a cruise ship is unruly-passengers. Although rare, there are times when some experience bad service and terrible food. Even more rare is the horrible experience of feeling like you are trapped in and totally isolated in a huge tub until the next call to port.

Now all of those issues don't actually sound so awful compared to one thing people don't really know about when they board cruise ships. The fact that cruise ships are not required by law to report crimes. Actually, they're not required to report much of anything.

Check cruise ship reviews for accurate information.

It has a lot to do with the whole law of the sea and for the most part, it's a sad reality that cruise ships are not required to report crimes that occur while they are out, well, cruising. The more depressing news about that is that cruise ships often make it a point not to report it when crimes happen in their ships simply because it's bad for tourism and ultimately bad for business.

Most cruise industries however are totally committed to your wellbeing and make it a point to protect you so it's not a case to panic about. The fact that most of the problems that occur are caused by passengers and end up being resolved positively. The bottom line therefore, is before you hop on the next boat to the Caribbean, it might be helpful to at least check out the cruise ship you're boarding. Prevention is better than the cure as they always say and it can't be more fitting than when you board a cruise ship!

Discount Cruises - Save Your Money

Choosing to go for a cruise vacation is a great decision as you can look forward to an amazing time. Unlike regular vacations, a cruise trip promises a completely extraordinary experience that you are certain to relish for the rest of your life. The good news is that several cruise lines are offering discount cruises that offer a whole range of interesting activities and services on board an impressive ship. It is convenient and easy to find discount cruises that rightly suit your budget and bring you a splendid vacation on the seas.

There are two ways of going about finding right discount cruises- you could either get in touch with a travel agency who will help you find a great discount deal on cruises or you could find the best deal yourself through some research. Once you compare different discount cruises' offers, you will be in a better position to decide. It helps to think of what services and activities you are looking for. You could also ask your friends if they know of discounted cruises that they might have been to.

Read the travel section in your local newspaper and look for discount cruises that might be advertised. If you wish to travel to popular destinations such as Mexico or Alaska, there are high chances that you could avail of discount cruises since these are places that are frequently visited by travelers.

When looking for discount cruises, also think of the number of days you would be spending on board. Cruise trips usually last anywhere between 4 days and 2 weeks. Some could even last for a whole month. You will also need to decide on the kind of cruise you would like to go for- ultra-deluxe, deluxe, moderate or budget. All these kinds of cruise packages offer discount cruise offers, though not always.

One great way to find discount cruises is to go for a cruise trip during off-season. This is the time when you will find the ship not so very crowded and therefore, the cruise fares significantly lower. If you are one of those who love to see a crowd, then peak season is your best bet. However, it gets very difficult to find discount cruises during the peak season. If you absolutely have to go during the peak season, you could try booking your cruise tickets at least two weeks before the high season commences, and this way you could benefit from a discount cruise fare.

Opting for an inside cabin will also help you fetch a discount cruise fare. However, make sure that you keep a clock in the cabin as daylight hardly ever gets in there. Another great way to avail of discount is to travel in a group. When you travel in a group with your friends, many cruise lines offer a good enough discount.

Once you have found an attractive discount cruise offer, go ahead, and book it as soon as you can. Sometimes the rates could increase in a days' time. Finding discount cruises is not as difficult as you think. All you need to do is look at the right places at the right time.
