The Castle known as Casa de Hermesvilla is a truly brilliant piece of architecture nestling in the middle of the former imperial hunting grounds. The castle has been aptly named "The Palace of Dreams". Emperor Francis Joseph built the castle for his wife.
Schloss Schondbruun castle has 1,441 rooms, of which 40 are open to the public. This castle also houses a wonderful Botanic garden, which is also open to the public.
The Austrian National library is well worth a visit as are many other historical sites.
