Choose Bed and Breakfasts For Personal Treatment

If you like to travel but don't like the impersonal environment you sometimes get at Hotels, then you need to consider staying in a Bed and Breakfasts.

Bed and Breakfasts are not usually owned by corporate giants or Hotel Chains. They are usually owned by ordinary people. And for whatever reason these "ordinary people" seem to make you feel more at ease and comfortable than the potential sterile environment of large chains.

Couples seem to choose a Bed and Breakfast more often than people with families. As a result the atmosphere at a Bed and Breakfast is usually less juvenile. You know what I mean, not a lot of loud music, shouting and splashing in the pools.

Hotels can even provide activities geared for families. And although pools are not commonly found at Bed and Breakfasts they are available in some Inns.

Some Bed and Breakfasts are remodeled homes and I have heard of some Castles in Europe that have been remodeled to serve as Bed and Breakfasts.

Often you will find that the owners have endeavored to restore the original look. This can include some hand carvings a tranquil garden and of course the traditional fireplace.

Most of the breakfasts included with your room include some sort of meat, eggs, biscuits or toast, Hash Browns, and maybe some pancakes or waffles with coffee, juice and milk. Few only provide a Continental Breakfast but please ask before you book so that you will know what to expect.

Don't think that Bed and Breakfasts only provide a converted bedroom for you. Some of them are large and nice enough to provide a large Suite with a Hot Tub.

Should you and your spouse want a Romantic Weekend, make sure to let your host be aware that you'd enjoy some togetherness themes such as biking, canoeing or moonlight strolls. You might be surprised by the events that they will come up with for you.
