Florida For All the Family

It's that time of the year again when you and your partner are deciding where to go on your next annual holiday. Do you book the same old beach holiday to Europe (which the kids do love!) or do you take them on an exciting adventure to the fantasy land of Florida?! It's what most kids dream about and to see the look on their little faces would make it all worth while for you. With so many different ways of being able to book your Florida holiday and so much money to start saving...you'd better get your skates on!

Now firstly, make sure you've got your holidays booked in at work and make the important decision...do you take the kids out of school to travel or not?! Taking your kids out of school even for a few days may drop the price of your holiday considerably, therefore is worth contemplating. Now, try to decide which area you'd like to stay in and what type of accommodation you want. One of the most popular areas to stay in is International Drive, with many hotels offering family rooms, a bed & breakfast board basis, free shuttle transfers to the theme parks and with many bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity which helps make this area such a popular choice for people who do not want to hire a car. Another popular area is Kissimmee, offering Villas with private pools from 3 to 6 bedrooms, these are perfect for those families who prefer a bit of privacy along with some home comforts. Staying in Kissimmee requires the use of a hire car in which you'll make your own way around the parks and local areas, giving you the flexibility to come and go as you please. When you're decided on your dates, it's time to start searching for your deal. Look through the main tour operators for package holidays first to get a total package cost, then have a look at flights to Florida and separate accommodation to see if booking it independently will work out cheaper for you.

Due to the popularity and with so much to do and see in Florida, it's best to plan ahead before you travel. Decide what you want to see and do whilst on your holiday. Theme park tickets can all be pre-booked and there are many websites online offering fantastic deals, i.e. 14 days entry for the price of 7 and so on. Check through a few sites and when you've found the very best deal, check the website is reputable and get them booked. The favourite among families are Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld and Aquatica. For the adults Epcot and the Kennedy Space Center is a must aswell as Busch Gardens, where you'll find plenty of adult attractions to keep you entertained.

Due to its generally warm climate Florida is known as 'The Sunshine State' and peaks at some very high temperatures but can produce a massive climate change come July/August. If theme parks aren't for you, take a trip over to the fantastic Miami where you can spend your days shopping in the designer malls or feel the vibe in the ever so cool nightclubs. If Miami's too far for you to travel for a night of entertainment, head for the nearer 'Citywalk' located in Universal studios, here you can relax over dinner, sample the fabulous cocktails and dance the night away.
