Natural Bridges National Monument

The natural Bridges state park is a wonderful park in southern Utah and is filled with some of the most magnificent rock structures that you can find anywhere on the planet. The next time you are in southern Utah be sure to check it out and more specifically here is a small list of attractions in the park that you must see.

1. The Sipapau Bridge

The Sipapau Bridge is the second largest natural rock bridge on the planet. The only bridge that towers higher than this one is the world famous rainbow bridge. The Sipapau is simply an incredible site to see. The large formation has been admired ever since the first man laid eyes on it. The Hopi Indians where originally so amazed that they considered it the doorway to the afterlife.

2. Owachomo Bridge

Owachomo Bridge actually looks like a modern bridge only it is made out of solid sandstone. The rock has an unbelievable appearance and is believed to have eroded away at a faster rate than the other bridges in the park because of its delicate shape. You can walk directly under this massive structure and get a feeling of how spectacular it really is.

3. Horsecollar Ruin

Horsecollar Ruin is a very interesting area. This site was once inhabited by the Anasazi people hundreds of years ago. You can still see the marvelous housing structures which they built and lived in so many years ago.

If you love history then you are going to love this part of the park.
