Disney World-Way to get a Disney fix at home ~ Travel and Leisure

Disney World is a beloved destination for the young and the young at heart, and has delighted families for almost forty years. Even the grouchiest people can't help but to have fun in Disney World, but sometimes the cost of going to Disney World can just be too prohibitive to do year after year.

One might think that the only way to get a Disney fix at home is by watching YouTube or waiting for the next Disney film release on DVD or in theaters, but there is another option - Disney On Ice! Checking the official Disney website for the current Disney On Ice schedule is one of the most fun and unusual tips I've ever gotten or given, and can be a great way to let Disney World come to you!

One of the currently touring shows is the Disney Princesses show, and it is a delightful compilation of the stories of seven of Disney's most popular princesses. The average ticket price for the Disney Princesses on Ice is approximately $15, so, even with adding souvenirs to the outing, a family of four can easily have a magical time for less than one hundred dollars.

The show opens with Tinkerbell, who takes her position as the "master of ceremonies" of the show, and has a fun skating routine to introduce what is to come, and a special visit is made by Mickey and Minnie! The show, overall, is about two hours, and is split into two segments of one hour each with a fifteen minute (approximately) intermission.

The entire performance is outstanding, and the skaters are all professional quality ice skaters. The theme and costume are typical high qualify Disney, and the show is just an overall delight. There is even a special guest appearance by Goofy, but, by far, the most entertaining and audience delighting performances is the story of Cinderella. A special joy are Cinderella's two stepsisters, Druzilla and Anastasia.
