Spring Villa Breaks On Lanzarote

There's no better time than spring to enjoy a holiday in Lanzarote as this popular holiday island is covered in wild flowers at that time of the year, whilst the weather is delightfully warm as the mercury climbs into the mid 20's Celsius.
Spring time is quite magical on Lanzarote. Air and sea temperatures start to climb once more, but it's not only the wild flowers that are coming to life, the cultural side of the island is blooming too. The festival season is also about to explode kicking off with loads of traditional fiestas and festivals to enjoy - as well as the celebration of Semana Santa, or Easter.

Lots of visitors book holiday villas in Lanzarote specifically to enjoy the island at this time of the year with the bulk of them arriving from the UK and Germany, which is where the majority of the islands tourists originate from. And once on the island they can bask in the excellent weather or even enjoy a dip in the Atlantic as sea temperatures also start climb again from March onwards.
Most of the best Lanzarote villas are located in the islands main resort of Puerto del Carmen which is located close to the airport at Arrecife on the south eastern coastline. Puerto del Carmen is located on Lanzarote's south eastern coast and this is very well protected from the Trade Winds making it an ideal spot for sun seekers and beach lovers enabling tourists to make the best of the beaches in Puerto del Carmen, such as Playa Grande and Playa Chica..
There are also a number of smaller coves and bays to explore off the main Avenida de las Playas in the direction of the San Antonio Hotel as well as the large expanse of sand at nearby Matagorda and Los Pocillos.
There are two other excellent resorts to choose from too - Playa Blanca in the south and Costa Teguise in the north Playa Blanca is the more recently developed and as a result boasts a surfeit of good quality four and five star hotels. As well as excellent beaches such as Playa Dorada and Playa Flamingo.
Costa Teguise is at the opposite end of the island in the north. And is home to some high quality accommodation, such as the luxurious Gran Melia Salinas hotel. As well as its own superb stretches of sand such as Playa Bastian and Playa Cucharas.
Wherever tourists choose to stay on this gem in the Canaries they can travel safe in the knowledge that the will enjoy fantastic weather when they visit Lanzarote this spring time. And at only four hours away Lanzarote is both cheap and easy to reach.
