Thailand-trip to South East Asia

If you're thinking about making a trip to South East Asia, then Thailand could be just the place. The central mainland area and group of small islands that make up the state are enclosed by waters the colour of which can only be described as possessing a tourist-board shade of blue, but this isn't just any tourist destination full of great beaches and stunning natural vistas. It is a truly magnificent place, a nation which has something to offer people seeking anything from jungle treks to all-night parties.
Here are a few reasons why you should consider making a trip to this amazing country:
Wat Arun: making up 94.6% of the population's religion, Buddhism is absolutely central to most people's daily lives in Thailand, and while Wat Arun may not be where everyone goes to worship, it represents the centrality of this faith to the city of Bangkok in which it can be found. Towering over the Chao Phraya River, it is iconic and stately, easily recognisable and staggeringly beautiful.
Wat Phra Kaew: this is another temple, but of a completely different kind to Wat Arun. While the latter is comprised primarily of one single tower, this establishment is an immense sprawling complex, centred around the famous Emerald Buddha. Founded in the eighteenth century, it is a temple striking in its architectural diversity.

Chiang Mai: were you to visit the northern part of the country to see the tree-lined mountains, this would be the city you'd stay at and take day-trips from. Particularly worth seeing is the city's Sunday evening market, where the work of local artisans can be observed and purchased.
Ko Phi Phi Don: if you can spare a couple of days from the delights of mainland Thailand, this small island is a great example of the natural beauty of some of Thailand's specially maintained wildlife areas. With a fully-fledged tourist community already on the island, this is an ideal way to see some of the country's more simple living.
If you've never been to this part of the world before, it can certainly be daunting to try and arrange all the travel details before heading off - the last thing you need on your holiday is to get a headache over admin issues. Fortunately, however, plenty of travel agents offer cheap flight deals with other helpful things thrown in, like hotel bookings or car rental. Alternatively, you could go for a full package deal which draws you up an itinerary for your whole stay, meaning you won't have to worry about any of the little details, and can take as much relaxation time as you need.
